Don't let me distract you

A while back I felt some comfort believing that a lot of people came to my blog and were interested in what I had to say. Then... life got busy. Well, it turns out that now that I've posted once in the last month, I still have the same number of daily visitors as before. Do I think that 178 people visited this blog yesterday to re-read my Step 6 post? No. You're here for the sidebar feed and probably always have been. I see how it is. Well, don't let me slow you down with my rambling here. Go on. Go read the goodies from around the queerosphere!

Regardless, just for FOB, I'm going to keep posting here anyway.

Now stop feeling sorry for yourself. You're the "Great L", remember? I think I've read just about every word you've written (even book reviews I wasn't interested in :)) since Feb 06. I follow your comments on NL and your wrestling matches with Chris-Hurricane.

But, if you truly must know, I do check your site for the updated postings quite regularly. :)

Thanks for this feature!

ah, L - you know we love ya (side bar feed or not). and just for the record, I pass by your blog only when YOU actually have something to say. So count em - 179 visitors today ;)

Meh. I'm bored with the Queerosphere. I check here every 15 minutes just in case you've posted and it hasn't hit my reader yet.

Look at it this way: yours is the first blog a lot of us check.

Don't be mad. Like the rest,I check you blog so frequently for the feed, but it's even better when I see an actual post from you! Don't think for a second we aren't interested in what you have to say.

I only come when you post. I have my own feeds. So that means if Mar and I are coming when you post, and your numbers still stay the same...well...yeah, I just won't finish that.

Next time though, I expect something more super heroic.

Ditto Sam, so that makes at least three of us. :P

*raises semi-shameful hand*

You got me -L- I do come for the blog feed. It's easier than saving all those links... I only need one! Yours!

Although, in my DEFENSE, everytime I come for the feed and you HAVE posted, I read it. So if you posted more, I would read more.

The end.

I feel like I can say this because we're good friends ...but I only read your blog when when it's either 1) short like this post 2) there's some extended discussion where I can add my immature two cents and kill conversation...So yes, I shamelessly use your blog like that wicked soft toilet paper.

Please, distract me with more of your posts. I wouldn't mind a bit.

And yes, once I figured out what your side bars were doing, I've been flipping over to your blog to zero in on who's saying what. It's a great feature... Thanks Doc.

A hah! So, it's really only FOB you post for!

I feel hurt and slighted, somehow... :(

i only come when you post :P

Kengo, please note FOB's comment on my last post: "Remember when this blog used to be cool (i.e. you posted on it more than once a month)? I do."

So. There you go. Give me hilarious disdain, and I'll give you a shout out.

Wow! I come to see if you have posted anything new but now I just discovered from this post that you have the sidebar! (I'm betting that was not your intention.)

Just wanted to let you know that your approach/committment is invaluable to me. In a world where you can find a bazillion stories of how despite the best intentions marriages eventually end in divorce, I really need the story of how one couple struggles to make it work and could actually find joy.

You have no idea how important that is when all you have is a strong impression to stay committed but you are inundated by stories of how couples can no longer make sense of it all and divorce. I don't judge them. I just long to hear some balance in it all. So thank you, thank you, thank you. (And I hope this renews your sense of purpose.)

Anon, what a remarkably nice thing to say. I appreciate that a lot.

Speaking of the sidebar feed, will you take my blog off, please?

I might politely suggest you ask permission of folks before you add them. I do appreciate the gesture, really, but I'm not keen on being broadly advertised at the moment.

Not a problem. Sorry for not asking. I usually do... but then it seemed like a waste when nobody really cared.
